So Television proudly launches comedy football series Comedians Taking Penalties with Chloe Petts on Tuesday November 25.
Are you tired of the beautiful game turning ugly? Then let Chloe Petts fill your heart with joy in her comedy-filled mini-series. All the drama, none of the budget.
Chloe, stand-up comedian and Crystal Palace FC supporter, hosts an 8-part series that puts the UK’s comedy finest six yards in front of a goal with only their best material to help them. It could all get a bit Messi.
Each episode is dedicated to a single comedian, who faces a series of frankly ridiculous football challenges, before going toe-to-toe with Chloe in a fierce…and heart-stopping… penalty shootout. There will be chat, there will be swearing, there will be occasional glimpses of football brilliance – mainly from Chloe – and much titting about.
With little respect to fairness, Chloe will also judge the budding goal machines through challenges like Rate My Kit. Each comedian even gets an art-department-dodging Bespoke Challenge designed just for them. The comedian with the highest points tally at the end of the series is awarded a magnificent-yet-tiny trophy, eternal glory and quite possibly a contract with Real Madrid.
The comedians taking part cover the widest range of footballing ability from goal hungry to just plain hungry.

Launching her new series, Chloe says “I came here to take names and kick balls and I’m all outta names”.
They all laughed when comedians said they were going to be penalty takers. They’re laughing more now.
